Pancakes, waffles and French toast are good, but if I'm honest with myself, I have to admit they are just a vessel for the maple syrup that I douse them in. So when my sister and brother-in-law arrived in April with this bottle of syrup from Ontario, I was one happy camper.

Nice photo...looks like you and my kids have something in common! Can't leave them at the table unattended while I make more pancakes, or else they try drinking the syrup, or scooping up dollops of butter with their fingers. I doubt you'd stoop to eating butter straight up though.
